Are you looking for ballroom dance socials? How about a place to go and enjoy those valuable ballroom dance skills you have been pick up? Already an awesome ballroom dancer and just looking for a place to have a fun night out? You need look no further for ballroom dance socials. Lots of dance studios claim they want to help people get over their fear of social dancing, but then have no dance parties open to the general public & instead push their students to spend more money competing and taking endless private lessons. What happened to social dancing? We at the Ballroom On High are truly all about social dancing! It was the reason we opened our doors in the first place in 2006. Unlike an ordinary dance studio, our focus is on having dance socials. Our dance lessons are just a way to create more dancers so we can have more fun at our ballroom dance socials. Our goal is to provide a place where you can make new friends and get your social dance fix!
Our ballroom dance socials have a feeling unlike any other place you may go dancing. Not only are we not your typical ballroom dance studio, but we also don’t have your typical stuffy ballroom dance environment. Our dance community likes to have fun on and off the dance floor. Our group of dancers are very friendly and even extend the friendships they make at our ballroom dance socials past our doors by eating out together, inviting each other to private parties, traveling to other dance events and even traveling abroad together. Out of our dance community comes meaningful friendships & even romantic relationships built over time as our dancers become close friends. If you come with your dance partner you will find that we also have a great group of couples which makes our dance parties fun for the whole family.
Like what you are hearing, but need a little extra push to come through our doors? How about this. Social dancing is considered the number one thing you can do for your overall health! Studies have shown that social dancing is one of the only things you can do that is not only good for your body but also your social health (go figure), your mental health and some even say your spiritual health. Don’t take our word for it. Read for yourself!

Meet Mary Lynn Ward
Mary Lynn Ward has been with the Ballroom On High since our first year of operation. She has been a staunch supporter and ally ever since. After running ballroom dance socials for 3 plus years Faryl was burning out. Mary Lynn stepped right in to make sure ballroom dancing would remain a fixture in Pottstown. Mary Lynn started her dance career at Arthur Murray’s Dance Studios. She then received her dance credentials through Dance Vision’s DVIDA certification. Now she is a beloved dance hostess and a valuable member of our Ballroom On High team! Mary Lynn’s focus as an instructor is in turning out great social dancers. Much like Swing Kat’s owner Faryl, she is not concerned with preparing students for endless competitions and spotlight dances. She wants a larger and better social dance community in Pottstown. Her dedication to this end makes her dance socials one of our top most friendly environments at the Ballroom On High. You could say when your with Mary Lynn’s crowd, you’re with family!
